“Your faithfulness endures to all generations; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.” – Psalm 119:90
Rally Sunday was a big blessing to me as always. It is so fun to see the church together. The food was great, the bouncy houses did their job, the conversations were excellent and the teamwork to pull it off was nothing short of beautiful. Every part of the morning was filling to my soul but nothing more filling to me personally than seeing so many young people get bibles in their hands. The amount of 3 year olds, 2nd graders and 7th graders were overwhelming. (And there were many more that couldn’t attend.)
I was recently out to eat with an individual who had visited our church and desired to learn more about us. I may never forget a comment that this individual made during our conversation. He said; “my favorite part of the service was hearing a baby cry. It has been years since I’ve heard a baby cry in a church service.”
I often take all the children in our congregation for granted. I forget that there are many churches that have no youth around and no young families present. Something as simple as a baby crying is a reminder of the way that the Holy Spirit is moving from generation to generation at Living Word. Thanks of coming on another journey with us this program year. To God be the Glory through it all!
