Children’s Bible Ed FAQ
• What will my child learn in Bible Ed?
We use the Gospel Light curriculum with our children. This curriculum uses Bible stories to teach little ones about God’s love through creative storytelling, energetic music and small group activities.
• Who will teach my child?
Classroom teachers are made up of parent and congregational volunteers who have a passion for teaching and love to share God’s Word.
• Where are classes held?
We begin Bible Ed together in the Gathering Room for Opening Worship time. This is a time where your children will learn new songs and actions about Jesus and His love for us. After Opening Worship, kids are dismissed to their classrooms throughout the church building with their teachers. You can drop your child off at the Gathering Room at 9:15am.
• How are classes split up?
Classes are divided by school age.
• Do I need to be a member at Living Word to register
my child for class?
No, you and your family do not need to be members to join our children’s ministry Bible education classes. All are welcome!
• Can my child bring a friend to Bible Ed?
Yes, your child can bring a friend anytime.
• Where do I pick up my child?
Classes are finished at 10:15am. If your child is in 2nd grade and below, you will pick up your child in his or her classroom. Those in 3rd grade and up will be dismissed to find you in the Sanctuary.
