The building project is officially underway, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has already contributed to our financial goal. Your generosity is making a tremendous impact!
If you haven’t yet pledged or given to the Capital Appeal, there is still an opportunity to participate. Although we have made significant progress, we have not fully reached our goal.
We are well on our way to meeting the financial needs of the expansion project, but we still need your help. Out of the total $5.1 million goal, $4.3 million has already been committed. This means we only need $700,000 more to complete our fundraising efforts.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Each gift will play a vital role in furthering the kingdom of God by reaching more people and sharing the gospel with those who have yet to hear it. This mission is at the heart of what we are called to do.

CAPITAL APPEAL PROGRESS

In April 2022, Living Word launched our “Build and Multiply” Capital Appeal to meet the growing needs of our congregation and community through a multi-phase building project. By God’s grace and your faithful generosity, Phase 1 was completed in September 2024—debt-free. This $740,000 phase added six new classrooms, an updated nursery, a fully renovated youth room, HVAC upgrades, expanded parking and storage – all of which are actively serving our ministries today. Now, we turn to Phase 2, a $5.1 million expansion designed to further equip us for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and outreach. Phase 2 will add a new fellowship hall, upgraded kitchen, secure office space, meeting rooms, updated restrooms, and a spacious, welcoming narthex. These additions are essential to accommodate our growing church family and enhance our mission. Over $1.8 million has already been committed, and we will continue to move forward as funds are provided. We believe this is a critical and exciting step in stewarding what God is doing at Living Word. Below, you’ll find more details and how you can partner with us through giving.
Phase 2 Building Project
New Build - Fellowship Hall, Narthex, Offices, etc.
As we look ahead to Phase 2, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what God is continuing to do at Living Word. Building on the momentum and faithful generosity that brought Phase 1 to life, Phase 2 represents a bold next step in our mission to make space for ministry, connection, and growth. This $5.1 million project will include a brand-new fellowship hall with a clear-span design, expanded office space, a large and welcoming narthex, improved site access from Southview Drive, and flexible lower-level space for future ministry needs. Over the past two years, we’ve prayerfully refined our plans, worked with architects, and made strategic design decisions to steward our resources wisely while creating space that will serve generations to come. This expansion will allow us to better welcome guests, disciple families, host large gatherings, and connect more people to the life of our church. With over $1.8 million already raised, we’re trusting God to provide the rest through the continued generosity of our congregation. Phase 1 Building Project
Remodeling the Education Wing & Youth Room
We are incredibly proud of how Phase 1 of our building project turned out—beautiful, functional, and completed with intentional stewardship. What began in early 2022 as a $900,000–$1 million estimate later rose to over $2 million due to inflation and necessary HVAC upgrades. But through extensive planning, thoughtful walkthroughs, and God’s provision, we completed the project in September 2024 for only $740,000. The result is a fully updated and expanded ministry space – including six new classrooms, a completely renovated youth room, improved nursery and bathrooms, HVAC upgrades, added storage, and the first phase of our parking lot expansion. Each classroom is now equipped with tools and technology for teaching, connection, and livestream viewing capabilities. The youth room was transformed into a modern, open space with custom design and fully equipped with professional sound equipment. This was all made possible by the faithful generosity of our congregation and the careful planning and stewardship of our building committee. We give thanks for what God has done through His people at Living Word and celebrate the impact this new space is already having on our ministry, and will continue to have for many years to come.
