Confirmation is held during the school year for 7th and 8th graders.  We meet in the Gathering Room and begin with a group lesson led by one of the pastors.

After our lesson, we have supper together, provided by the parents of the confirmation students.  Then we break into our small groups with our small group leaders to discuss the lesson together in more detail.

What Confirmation Is:
Confirmation is publicly affirming your belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and your belief that by grace you have be saved.

People often like having times or moments to look back on in their faith.  Confirmation offers one of these moments as students can affirm their faith and take a stand to proclaim it.

What Confirmation Isn’t:
Confirmation is not a hoop to jump through.  It is not just a certificate to get, and it has no bearing on salvation.
Expectations
  • Attend Confirmation Classes weekly
  • Bring your Bible weekly to Confirmation Classes
  • Attend the Confirmation Retreat held in March
  • Participate in service activities
  • Take 20 sermon notes throughout each school year
 Curriculum
We use the Believe curriculum for Confirmation Classes. “The Bible is more than just a book of stories. It’s a blueprint for living. Let the words of God change you as you learn how to think, act, and become more like Jesus by examining all the most important questions and concepts of Christianity.”
